CAROLINE STEPHENS:  Caroline, or Carrie as she was known, finished her school education at the Normal School in Ypsilanti, MI. She taught in the public schools of Detroit for several years until her health became

impaired. Although she wasn't strong in health, she was very much interested in church work and helping her family. She devoted herself to her mother. They enjoyed traveling, visiting relatives in Virginia, California and

Washington as well as other places.
